    Toysport Jollycat Owners

Could one of you fine Jollycat owners get me a measurement of this hull?

I am looking for the length from transom to bow between two perpendicular and parallel planes. Another words - without a bow in the ruler. Do not include the built in rudder extension.

    Thanks much - Doug Peterson

33&7/8ths from the tip of the bow to the transom & 29&5/8ths from the beggining of the tunnel to the same point on the transom both not including the rudder extention.

What else do you need? I can take some pictures with a measuring tape laid over it if you wish.

        Thanks SJFE

Thats exactly what I was looking for and it is at the length I require. I am an advocate of length limits and am building my race fleet accordingly. I am going to order the Jollycat. Always liked it anyway.

new P class offshore boat Doug?
Yep, Just recieved my Team Lindenau Smith Cat. Very nice light build and good looking. I mis-calulated though. It is 31" long. I really want the 34" long Cat for Offshore.

The Smith Cat is up for sale. Will list it somewhere when I get to it.

Doug, what power and hardware are you planning on for the Toysport?
                  Just curious.

I have an inventory of Lehner 1950's. And also a few 2240's. I am working towards 2240's on all my set ups that are 4S.

Most all my hardware is custom by me or I have it built with my specs. I am working towards CMDI rudders on all my boats. The strut will be one of my ball bearing customs. I have gone with my custom wire drives in my hydro's and monos but with the Cat I will probably go with the flex because of the angle.

                    Do you guy's recommend the .150 or the .187 flex? I know I won't go .130

Doug, I wish I had your inventory!!
Fantastic that you build your hardware, I would love to have that talent.
                      I would go with .150 on 4S.

Doug I run a .78 wire with no problems. I take it you are ordering a bare hull?

                          Douggie,
My hardware is really a combination of some items I build along with some bought in from vendors and some I had made for me by various shops. I am really a picky builder. This is one of the things about the hobby that makes it tick for me. Not much of a show off but I will post some pics of a few current builds when I get to it. Thanks for advice on the .150.

                          Tom,
Yes I have ordered a bare hull. Once I get the hull I will have to consider a wire. I currently am running 2mm on my N2 mono, P mono and P Sport hydro. All new boats that haven't seen water yet. The mono wires are pretty straight. The hydro wire curve has me a little worried. I throw some major HP through my boats so it will be interesting.

Hi I am new here! Writing from Stockholm (Sweden). I just ordered my Toysport Jolly with twin drives, it should be here in about three weeks which I am looking forward to :-) I actually ordered it completely RTR with the Jolly paint and dekals, the only thing that I have to buy are the batteries. I will run the Feigao 2 x 540-09 and 2 x Himodel GX 125A, what kind of Lipos would you recommend?

                            BTW Great forum!!
