    neu 2220 2y

hi guys i have a 2220 2y im planning on using in either 1/8 or 1/6 scale hydro on 12s so rules do not apply to this as its a satisfaction build for me.

i will be using an etti esc 200 amp unit that i have for the setup.
please post your thoughts and knowledge of the subject for further opinions.

    thanks wayne

Beast of a motor I'm sure..................too bad its so low of a KV...........seems like you would need 14s for decent rpm range...........does anybody even run 14s????
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Wayne, have been running a 2y on 10 and 12s Queensland for while now. The. Etti is ok, but has a very poor throttle curve. I have run this motor in a 56inch cat and 42inch sports hydro. Both show good speed. Gives the petrol boys something to chase. You won't be disappointed. Have not tried 14s yet. Steve

thanks steve my thoughts to the motor was more torque values than rpm , what is your prop selection for the setup in the hydro ??
only so i have an idea on it for setup.

        thanks wayne

Wayne, had good luck with a octura 1460 pitched up a bit. A prather 255 gave good results as well. Motor and esc temps were very low. Also run the same set up in 42 sprintcat with the prather. Is faster than the picco 90 that was in it. These setups are for 10s, you would probably use the same for 12s. Are you attending the Nationals up here in April? Steve
