What makes you think that hull will stay on the water at that speed? It isn't meant to be a SAW cat.

Yeah i dont see the point, at that speed crashing that hull you will loose the whole thing, might have to shove the batteries at the front of the hull, not worth the risk

If you want to go 70-75 MPH and can afford to loose the boat - go for it. I think you would be better off with a larger cat that won't be wasted in a crash at that speed. i.e. Aeromarine Avenger Pro. JIM http://www.aeromarinerc.com/index.ph...id=40&Itemid=1

just go 60 in an oval with that hull..the wide tunnel will probably make it want to fly but who knows for sure until its done..the hpr's and others like the genesis hull are better canidates for high speed passes in a straight line due to the smaller tunnel but will not fair as well as your cheetah as far as turning goes..i am doing a fightercat shocker hoping for 80 myself but is has a thin tunnel section more suited to do so

Ben claims to have the cheetah (or was it the fantasm?) up to 80+mph.
the genesis would be a good candidate but would not hold up at all without reinforcement in a crash.

definately need to reinforce anything going these speeds

...Says the guy with the 70mph sprintcat.
Do you still have the twin sprintcat?

                        OP:

It's really hard to know at this point what the Cheetah will like. A lot of the European guys run in the RPM range you're at with a smaller prop, but they run cats with a relatively narrow tunnel and twin props. The Cheetah will likely be able to handle a decent sized prop, so you might not have to spin it that fast.

I agree any cash above 65 -70 does some damage IMO I hade some crashes at 62 mph that did some decent damage with the hull being reinforced it all depends how the hull hits the water thanks

What strut and rudder are you going to use on your Cheetah
                              I'm building one now 4082 1610kvv or 4092 1600kv 6s single
The 32 FC mono stingers didn't fit to go twin drive, so changed to a single setup
Now im stuck with not nowing what hardwear that will fit is has a very high transom
