Its a good kit with a few slight issues that can be corrected easily during assembly. I purchased what was to be ARTR version but it arrived half-assembled so I'm getting another kit for a proper build.

You'll find some photos of several builds over at RCG: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1588091

      Strut arrived from tobsd.com.

Has a few issues. 1) the bolt spacing isnt right. Its off about 1 hole. 2) On mine the bushing is under sized. Be prepared to drill it out.

I ended up getting the 400XL motor:
        http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=17153

This motor has very strong cog. I finally figured out what that mystery thing is pictured with the motor. Its a filter... Two pieces, o ring and a piece of screen...

If it makes it up the rudder hole it can go thru the motor...

Got mine too. I was able to use a round diamond file in a drill with a little oil to get it to the correct size.

Going to wet sand and polish it over the next few days.

Has 5 coats of clear- two small testors rattle cans.

Im curious to and cant wait.

I think it will be a fun sized boat but theres probably many things that could of been done to improve the kit as a whole.

Im thinking of using this, my Blizzard and JAE as a benchmark and come up with my own rigger. I know a laser thats for hire and I would have my own kit cut that way.

Kind of looks like a Renegade Rigger.

I think there kit is crap. The wood used sucks, its 2mm plywood with a core and veneer only. So 3 layers. It warps super easy. The entire kit is 2mm... Hard to bend on sponsons. I replaced the complex curved part on the side with 1/32 midwest brand ply. Sponsons are non removable. I didnt add this feature in the beginning. Also no strut to fit stock mount holes- had to fill and redrill.

Some people said the rudder is on the wrong side and flipped the stuff around to change it, or just the motor mount to adjust for torque roll. I built mine straight up from the plans. My additions/changes were few. I added 1/16" basswood around transom to stiffen it up. I swapped out the 2mm for 1/32" on side of sponson. I filled sponsons with expanding foam. Lastly I added a 1/32" ride pad with overhang like JAE.
