    Stuffing tube for wire drive

What is the optimum ID for the stuffing tube in which to run .078 wire drive? This will be in a Whiplash 20 and the curvature will be minimal.

    Thanks

    Tom,

Were you going to be running teflon, or not??

      No teflon, brass tube only.

        I believe I've been using 1/8" O.D. With a .014" wall thickness, that makes for a .097" ID...

When I do brass only, however, I don't run it the full length... just through the hull, and I leave the wire exposed back to the strut.

On my 1/10th Scale, I run it all the way back, but I use larger tubing and teflon.

I was told 5/32" O.D. K&S (again .014 walls) and that's what i have on mine, I have never run it though.

1/8" could be a little small. I think I said 5/32 which gives you an 1/8" ID. Run it all the way up from strut to coupler.
