    UL-1 Competition?

I was just on the TFL website and found this very interesting.

The tunnel is going to trap too much air, sponson design needs help and the turn fin is inadequate, but they are getting closer.

    Interesting find.

    Plusses :

    32.3"

    125A SC

    decent looking strut & rudder

    Nice appearance

    Questionable : 2070 0n 3S ? (easy enough to change to 4S batts)

    turnfin (easy to change)

air trap may or may not be a prob

    Could be a "runner"

        Comments:

        - Good size
        - Tunnel too narrow for turning stability
        - Strut looks adjustable to me
        - Air traps too long
        - Sponson design is from the 1980s (!)
        - Faux wedge rudder shape for increased drag
        - Tough to tape down at front
