    Fast New Build Info

If you had $700.00 to build a boat from scratch and wanted at least a 40" hull, what would you buy? Hull, motor, esc etc.

Aeromarine make some of the best & strongest hulls available, & is made in America. I have a couple of unconverted nitro Sprint cats, but I would recommend the Avenger Pro hull. At 44" X 16" and generous height above the waterline, the Avenger Pro makes a great T Offshore race boat. I'm still in the early stage of building mine as follows:
        Leopard 5692 1090KV
        Castle Hydra ICE2 200Amps - with a Turnigy AquaStar 240A for backup
        FlySky FS-GT3B TX/RX
        Hardware new & old from everywhere - rudder with 2 H2O pick-ups
        Turnigh Nano Tec 5000mAh 10S2P

Cuz of the roomy hull, I was going to put in two 5692s, two Hydra ICE2 200Amp ESCs, same batt setup. But I just couldn't justify doubling the costs & additional weight for an Offshore racer, and has too much freeboard wind resistence for a SAW boat. With it's large size & a single motor/ESC it should be very competitive in Offshore racing with the single motor setup.

Come to the NAMBA Nationals at Legg Lake in LA this summer & watch it run. JIM

Neu 1527/1Y, Castle ICE240LV, 6S2P/5000mAh/45C+ packs. With an x452 you should be be mid-60s.

I got my SS45 hull for $100. Never used, never drilled.

Fluid, I ordered the setup you suggested minus the Castle ICE. I was thinking about the Fightercat 300 just to cover my ass. Any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

just as good of an ESC with less recalls.

Thanks. Am I correct in using a bigger esc for more headroom? And that extra set of black wires is confusing me (I'm relatively new at this).
