I've only owned a couple Leos. They performed well, but I have no idea how long they last. Neu is a more efficient motor. I ran the 1527 1.5d in a AM Sprintcat.(similar cat) on 5s2p with a x455 and even a x457 and the boat was a beast!
Another vote here for a big single with 4-6s2p. Neu is the pick of the motors at an affordable price here on OSE as well, at least affordable compared to their competition in Lehner and Plettenberg. I think a 1521 seems ample for a 34" hull but more guys here have run cats this size to know, listen to the veterans with experience with similar sized cats and you shouldn't go too wrong.

I was gonna suggest a 1717.That 1521 could be good.
Don't mind me Sam,I just really like this hull and have everything to stuff in it.But already have projects going.
Ah come on,there is no such thing as too big.I have have a 1717 that will be great in mine if I ever get through the current builds.Bigger will run cooler and have a little weight to keep it on the water.Where are the 4092's?The Neu's are a bit O $$. Umm I gotta go to work so I'll catchup later.
This hull is BIG for it's size. Lots of volume and a lot more mass to push than a Mystic style cat. The 4092 should work well. The hull design should handle a lot of prop.
