    flex cable length

    Hey Guys;
    I am in the process of building a twin motor Genesis,which is my first big build.I have been sitting here scratching my head on how I determine the length of the flex cable.Could someone inform me of what I have to do. Thanks

    The shorter the better, "I didnt just say that" ofcause it has to work with COG, the stuffing tubes, drivers/stingers and everything else aswell. the Genesis thread/s may help you out. really depending what setup you are running. you should place everything you intend to use in the hull and find COG. Not sure what that is on a twin Genesis though.

      Hello;
      The cog on the genesis is measured from the back of the sponson to the bow,Mine cog is about 9 7/8" from the bottom of the sponson at the back.I had to take things apart because I measured it the standard way.There has been a few guys that did the same thing.Oh well;weep and learn.Did I ever.

        A good place to start would be 30% from rear of sponson . Keep in mind that's just a good starting point , you will have to move it rearward or fwd in small increments to find what the boat likes best .

          What do you balance the hull on as you moving parts fwd or aft? Just another newbe question...LOL
