I am looking to move away from AA's and use a 3S 1300mah lipo in my GT3B, would someone be able to post a pic on how and where i solder the connections inside the battery tray
think of it like a bunch of cells wired in series, the last negative will be your negative, and the positive on your other end, they will be the only tabs that aren't "double", or connected to the opposite polarity of the next cell.
Nope, Its just a lipo pack is about the same price as 8 AA's therefore it makes sense, plus i can top up the lipo to make sure its always fully charged.
I like nimhs in my tx-- no memory effect so I can top off plus I don't need to worry about running them down too low. I also like to keep all of my lipos stored in my woodburning stove or fireplace.
I have been using Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA. Have used the Tx 8 times now and voltage in the cells has hardly changed. Was 14.2V Now 14.1. Should last a while but I definitely think the Lipo packs will save you money.
