where do i put my esc?

no room in this boat, the only option is the lasdt picture, but then I have to run cooling lines around the ESC towards the motor, the inlets are on that side
    any other options?
can the suppo motor wires be shortened?

I'm pretty sure they are part or the winding, therefore they would have polyurethane insulation. Each strand would have to be stripped.
Better off shortening the esc wires if possible.
Each strand of the magnet wire is drawn through a bath of polyurethane varnish before it is wound into the wire.
This is the insulation that keeps the windings from shorting out against each other inside the motor, and what melts when you really overheat a motor.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Question, If they were part of the windings then how would the motor turn?

part of the winding as in they don't cut the winding wires inside the motor and solder longer wires on, they just run the wires out of the motor.
I don't think shortening the ESC wires would be enough, I guess i'll just have to run the cooling lines longer.

Now that you have a nice boat, you can retire that ole junker.

I thought this thread was a joke at first so I subscribed to see what people would say. I'd love to see some video of that thing running.

Wikipedia brushless motors, very good description of how they work. Animations of how they turn.

i got one video of it last year at half throttle, my cousin took it and won't give it to me, I think he deleted it, he's in dubai so i have no way of knowing.
that was on the third of three suppo ESC's that blew, that's why i moved on to the fightercat ones.
if you wanna feed me and give me a roof and a pond, i'll fly myself down and give you a turn at it aswell.
i got the lines run, the boat is a mess but hey, it works.

                    is this directed towards me?
I know how brushless motors work, i wasn't saying where does my ESC go, I know what it plugs into, i was talking about placement in the hull

Just asked Darin from Pro Boat, He says not to mess with motor wires to shorten esc wires. That's what I am getting ready to do myself, hope this helps.

yeah, I know on some motors it's okay but it's better not to.
I realized just shortening the ESC wires wasn't going to be enough so I turned the ESC around and it's fine now.

it's a 24" roundnose, forget which one exactly
it's balsa and then 2 layers of glass and 3 more layers of resin on the bottom and 2 on the top, never got it above about 2/3 of the way to WOT because this thing is ridiculously overpowered.
