    Princess Express Cruiser

Looking at maybe picking up one of these ARTR. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...1000mm%5F.html Obviously I am not going to want to race this more for every day fun. Maybe add some led lighting to it and some underwater lighting. Kinda reminds me of my real boat. Price is about $235 delivered to my door. I already have a T180 esc I will drop in and two choices of motors which I already have, Tacon 1700kv or 1300kv, Specs here..http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m812-3674-1700kv.html Which motor would you choose of the 2 considering I can run either 3S or 6S as I have plenty of these already. Would like to see up to 45mph if this is possible with what I have without running on the verge of disaster. What do you think?

    I would use the 1300kv on 6S.

45 mph with that hull will be very unstable. CG's way to high & the hull design is semi-planing at best. Great looking boat, but definitely won't handle high speed.

Take a look at this, looks to be going around 45mph if you ask me and does seem quite stable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCSBMBxtJrI

Just really starting to learn a little when it comes to RC but I do now my boats. This is my real boat, I did all the mods myself including engines, generator wood work etc, etc. Does 50mph on a bad day. http://gallery.me.com/midnightsun3#1...lack&view=grid

No problem, looked fast and stable enough for me. Definitely much more than a "semi displacement". I will be curious to see what mine will do on 6S and the Tacon 1300. Will find out come spring. Stock form on 3s it runs a mere 18.8mph (gps) as seen here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GdWFu-fNf0

I'd go with a 1000kv Leopard 4082 on 6s.................more "scale" speed, and great torque. I run this exact setup in my 45" Dumas Scarab, works very well and it hits 33 mph with an x445..............its a scaler too, with drivers etc.............

I need to change my "signature" below as i have sold the 1527 that was in it............
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Here's one of the nicest boating videos of all time featuring a Princess with spec power. Looks perfect at this speed. You can make a 2 X 4 go fast if you want with the right power-just seems the Princess, as a scale model, seems right at home at speed pictured.

I have occasionally looked at this boat. It'd be a great project with the lights and all. All the vids I've seen look like a great sport boat.Should be able to add some more detail if desired.Could make it a sort of sleeper.
