    Old school made new

Not sure if this thread should be here or in builds as I'm just looking for opinions. This is my old MRP Pantera hull highly modified by myself 20 or so years ago.I dug it out and have to do a new lid on it so I can freshen it up.I just wanna know what you guys think of this shape. This is a 25" boat and the foam may help it self right, maybe.

I've also got an old Proboat Miss Bud I'm gonna revive as well. It's gonna need a little reinforcement.
I'm just doing the canopy now, going to lay cloth over what you see.I had already modified the floor and strakes as well as cut & channelled the hull.I used to lighten and streamline everything in those old brushless days.I'll try and get some pics today as I glass the canopy.

Here's what I have so far.

There is only one layer of cloth and I'm gonna put a layer of carbon fiber cloth at least on the outer edges that fit over the hull. That should stiffen it up a bit as the clear edges are fairly flexible yet.Bear in mind this is a one off lid,so I don't mind the extra sanding and don't want to make a mould.

We got out in the sun today and here's a pic to prove it.I have some vid but the hockey games about to start.
I did find out that a .098 flex is too small for a 1415.I thought it's a small boat and only a X435 prop just as was used for years before, but, NO.I think I need to revamp the strut and get it up some more as the boat likes to spin out in corners. The prop is 2/3 submerged.

Gee you are making me think back when Dick Crowe was running for MRP and he tried to race a funny little ski boat of the time. I can not remember if it was named the Pantera or not.
