However I also ran w/gas sport hydros, skiffs, and even riggers. I'm 7 for 8 for finishing and the 1 I didn't finish, the boat went into failsafe and I drove it in after the heat was done. Never raced a lap that wasn't full throttle and gas monos don't beat me. Sport Hydros do...but I've been able to hold off a number of them for nearly the whole heat. It's quite fun and I'll be doing it again in February!

I didn't want to go full-tilt on the expense of a T boat, and I couldn't be happier with how this boat turned out and how it performs. I hope Haines brings his T mono to the Nat's in June. That will be a good test!
    Is your T the 40 incher..............running 6s? What motor?

Thanks for all the great input guys!!

Couple guys in the club had DF 41s and ran the Neu 1527/1Y on 6S2P. Props as I recall were an x452 or x455. Speeds around 60, nice boats.

I had the 1250kv 1527 in my 39" for a short time thinking a could really get it going.................used BIG props and never could pass the speed of the 1717 setup...............hit low 50's, the 1717 setup hits 59. Sold the motor to Bill last week.

What is a "BIG" prop? The 1717 has a higher Kv so it makes sense it can give higher speeds. All I can say is there are a lot of 1527/1Y motors running in various 6S boats hauling the mail.

That's my plan too. The 1527/1y is workhorse. Still THE motor for anything Q in my opinion. I have a No Step 4 laying around. Pretty small. I've also got a 2215 that would rip but the KV is a little high. The NS might like a little extra weight with a smaller prop. Have to think on that.

Dave, YOU can fend off sport hydros. I have to make up for my lack of skill with great gobs of speed. Haines T boat is too fast for a 1/6 mile course. Need like a 1/4 mile course for him to stay anywhere near lane one.

My plan is H&M No Step 4, 1527/1y, 6s2p 4400...ish, 455....ish. I'll probably de-tongue the 455. Or I may drop down to a 452 and crank the timing up on the 1527. The NS might not like that much prop.

It's probably not the best choice of hull but I got it for literally all most nothing. Thanks Howard.

                    40" Delta Force.

This is the one I have. Right at 40". Installed 4" rails, 1527 1Y, X455 with the tongues removed and some cup at the tips. 6S 10,000 mAhs and Castle HV 240.

There is a lot of confusion about the sizes of the DF hulls. DeltaForce themselves currently offer hulls with these dimensions - 39.4", 41.3", 42.0" - none of which are actually 40" long. I consider the 'listed size' as nominal rather than absolute, and apparently many hull makers do too. My Aeromarine Titan 40 is supposed to measure 33", but is actually 33.875".
