Turnigy 3994 on 12s has my vote, same weight and number of batteries as the other options on 6s2p, lower amp draw, mine drives a 50mm prop like a 37, 90deg after a decent thrashing and 98 after 3 packs of thrashing, will fit the mount in the boat, use a 1515 neu water cooling jacket, I think the motors are about $70 from HK? Might need a decent speedy for 12s is the only downside.

If you want to go big and save some money, HK has the TP power 5692's on sale for $72, arguably (but yet unproven) better than the leopard, these are the exact same motor selling for double the price in various resellers right now but going cheap as they obviously bought in bulk. I believe they have a 1360kv motor as well if you want to stick with 6s. I prefer 3994 to the 4092, the small shaft on the 4092 scares me a little if you wanted to push it too hard or anything was slightly out of balance...... I'll let you know when I back to back them in the next few weeks.

Thanks for your recommendations 6 BOOST, however i prefer to stick with 6S because i use the same batteries for my airplanes and i have plenty of 3S batteries...

I am almost convinced with the 4092 1390kv leopard plus the 200Amp Swordfish... I just need to know what props should I use with this SETUP???

            Thanks guys

              Javito,
              This was my setup http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_u...?v=v5--fQ8LzaY

It was good for 53 mph or 86 km/h it was ok and about 8 min on 6s2p 5000. I have only yesterday got the 3994 turnigy I'm trying that with swordfish 240hv on 12s and 50mm prop should be fast'ish Im sure if I ran the4082 on 8s and the 44 prop I would go about 100 km/h

What size 3s batts? I kno most of flight packs are in the 2200-3300mah range which won't work in this hull

Not the answer your prob looking for, but you need new batts. This motor is going to pull some serious amps and a 2p setup should be used no doubt. That means your gonna need (2) 6s battereies wired in parallel. The bigger the hull the more money it takes to power it. If your gonna do it, do it right! Look for 6s 4000mah+30c+ batteries. Turnigy is fine, also Gens Ace and Sky Lipos are also fine. For the esc, i like the swordfish esc's, but the seaking 180 can take more abuse. I myself NEVER run esc's to there max limit, in my world 6s is a HV esc, but people have had success pushing the seaking 180s to 6s. Make sure you disable the bec and add a receiver pack. Also get yourself some Castle 8mm bullets for the motor to esc connections, props a x447 2 blade should be just fine.

I was considering a 36" size deep vee hull due to the choppy conditions here in our local water hole, when suddenly I saw an ad from a local guy selling his Osprey for cheap. Could the Osprey handle chop well?
I am still researching both hardware & needed electronics for a possible 36" mono hull but wanted to know if the electronics needed for this 40"+ hull be different compared to setting up a 36"? Bigger motor (56mm size?) and higher S batts perhaps?

This hull size seems like a 'bridge' between electric power and gas power, so was just thinking of practical applications.
