Twin Motors

hi i just bought a boat from hobby king, it has twins and when i give it throttle 1 motor works for a minuet and the it quits i am running turnigy 120a esc's with the stock Y harness they give you. any answers would help thanks brandan

Cut one of the red wires in the y harness.... after the y..

you can set it up this way:

run the receiver and rudder servo on its own battery pack.
remove the red wire from the plug that plugs into the receiver from the Y harness.

go into the programming of the esc's and set the voltage cut off to the no cut off selection. (watch the voltage drop. do not let the batteries go too far down)

that should get it going.

couldn't i just cut the red wire off 1 esc then the other esc will run it with out doing any thing to the Y harness ?

Use a pin or tiny screwdriver to push the tab and slide to power pin out of one and heatshrink or tape it back on itself. If you want to go back to a stock setup for a single esc you just have to slide the pin back into the connector.
