    Cat CG question

First time I've built a boat with the transom overhangs.
Do you determine the CG based on running surface length or total hull length including the overhang.
    H&M Drifter S.
    Thanks.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

You are correct, work from the end of the ride surface to the tip boat and work your cg from there.

Thats what I thought, but easier to check now than change later.

In order to get the cg close on my twin genesis the batteries need to be on the top of the tunnel, if I put the batteries in the sponson the cg moves to far forward. Which would be better, the correct cg or having the batteries as low as possible?

I know I can add weight in the back to get the cg back but I don't want anymore weight then needed.

Correct cg no question, boat won't run right with it wrong.

I measured wrong for the cg, I measured total length, not running surface length. I can get the cg close with the batteries in the sponsons so will only need a little weight in the back to balance the boat. I can get the cg range between 27% thru 35%, that should be plenty for set up.

            Thanks for the help.
