    Apparition 800mm (HK) Setup Questions

Thinking about building this over the winter as I have some parts left over and looks like this boat is rather nice for the price. How would a Tacon 1700 http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m812-3674-1700kv.html perform with a HK 180 esc in the boat? Have a bunch of Nano tech 3S 6000 Batteries I would like to use on this. Good setup? This setup runs like heck on my Spartan.

Im in the same boat as you, I started a thread a little down the page called: "I just bought an Apparition who has one?" you may find some info in there.

I saw that but did not want to hijack your thread. Regardless my questions are specific to the parts I have left over which I want to use in this build. Just need to know if this stuff will work well in this hull.

Single motor i'm assuming, the 3674 is a bit on the smallish side for that boat, but if its a 4 poler and you prop it correctly it should be fine. That motor is an odd kv to me..........more like a 5s motor, but you could go the 6s you're wanting to with a small prop.........like an x440/442
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Thanks for the response. Yes the motor seems a little different but I have been running it off of twin 3S 6000ma packs for a total of 6S all summer long on my Spartan without any issues whatsoever, everything is running warm at best. Pushes the Spart to almost 60mph so definitely a powerful little bugger. I will go ahead and build this in this configuration as worst case scenario would be to swap the motor and prop if I do not like the performance. I was hoping for 50+ mph with this setup but I guess we will only find out come spring when she hits the water.
