    32" Mono Best Stinger Angle?

Currently I have my Cyber Storm stinger angle at about 4degrees. So its more in the water but what have you found works best?

start with the stinger set straight (parallela) with the bottom of the boat. THEN
make small adjustments as needed until you get the ride you desire.

THERE IS NO CUT AND DRY ANGLE TO SET IT AT. Every boat is different.

It is all about test and trim, test and trim. nothing more, nothing less.

True but if its the same hull and the COG is in around the same place. The stinger angle that works best for someone else should work about the same. There are a few variables to consider though, such as weight. Parallel wasn't gripping the water enough.

Carl is right, each hull is going to be different. One variable not often mentioned is the distance above the keel at which the stinger is installed. This can make a large difference in stinger angle, even 1/16" differences matter. So does stinger length, since different stinger brands and even models can have different lengths. How far back the prop is from the transom can matter a lot. Minor differences in CG ("around the same place"?) can mean differences in stinger setting too.

We haven't even mentioned the differences between individual hulls from the same mold - hooks, rocker, etc. If you want a simple "one size fits all" answer to your question - you will not obtain the optimum setting. Good luck.

Yeah good points. Never wanted a "one size fits all" answer. Just around about answer. Don't really have time in the cold weather to be fussing about with Hex keys. My prop is in line with the rudder. I am using Fuller's hardware. All I know is it ran too dry when parallel with the Hull and too wet at 4 degrees. Guess my answer lies between. Thanks for the info.
