Anyone try any aftermarket parts on this yet. Wanted to see what kind of prop is the best.

got one of these myself stock speed is ok while your learning but since i have a apparition with a leopard and T-180 its not much fun thought it handles pretty good.

But it has a large stuffing tube and solid shaft which offers no adjustment or larger motors and the rudder is held on with a thick elastic instead of a break away bolt which i noticed it starting to swing back after a few runs.

so hears the plan ordering parts from kintec next week the hull being 29 inches needs a 540 motor so getting that from fighter cat as well as a turnigy 120 amp esc but want to get hardware first.

3/16 flex cable and stinger drive from the titan as i can get a good deal from someone i know. I have a proper F/E rudder already and adjustable trim tabs going to make a ply transom doubler as the boat doesnt have one as well as a new water cooled motor mount , battery trays to run 4s2p running an sv27 3 blade prop .

Not saying this is a bad boat but its pretty underpowered and you cant make any adjustments except the trim tabs hopefully with these mods it will be a much better F/E boat having the performance to back up the looks.

Hope this helps i will try n post pics of my progress love the boat but if i didnt get it as a present i would have brought a proper fibreglass boat i did eventually anyways or maybe something more adjustable from aquacraft or pro boat but if you dont mind building or modding then this could potentially be a very nice running boat.

yes more than likely but since i cant leave things stock i cant help myself plus i want the power from a 540 instead of the 380 that was in it plus to be able to adjust the boat properly with a flex drive and way more prop options with the 3/16 flex.

Its more of something i want to do seen a vid on you tube running on 4s with the stock motor its a noticible improvement but i dont think it will pull 40 mph im hoping to reach in that vicinity with the 540 motor and a good prop.

And yer it jus depends what you want from the boat i definately wanna race this boat so id at least need it to pull 40 mph but it to be able to do that all day
