I have this hull, I'm actually starting on building it today=) A word of warning, it is very narrow for it's length, which will most likely mean if overpowered it will torque roll quite easily. I am building a saw only boat so this doesn't concern me as much, I will be trying a few different setups including 1527 on 6s, 2250 lmt on 6s, and 2280 on 10-12s. There is a number of video's on YouTube if you just type in MHZ Racemaster.

I will take some pics along the way, but due to work commitments some of my builds will be drawn out over so long I don't want to start build threads and rarely update them, so maybe once its completed. I got the carbon/kevlar inlayed version, they are very strong, stronger than almost any other hull I own because of the shape of the whole boat, all the curves help stiffen it up. It is beautifully made, I was very impressed with the build quality and finish on the hull, the only gripe I had was that the hatch, while fitting perfectly in the hole was too long and sat proud of the deck. It wasn't a big deal for me as I have a 1 metre long belt sander with 36 grit belt on it for work, so it made short work of shortening the hatch to fit perfectly. You might want to ask some of the more experienced members of the board how they think the narrow racemaster and a 1717 will go together, I haven't run one yet but have observed they have a lot of torque and may torque roll this hull quite a lot.

Yes the CC1717 is a big motor with a lot of torque, so I will use 2 rudders and a pair of flaps...

I wasn't aware that 2 rudders helped stop torque roll?

With 2 rudders it' s easier to adjust the trajectory, flaps will help too. I hate turnfins I hope I won' t need those parts
Using two 6S packs will help me to find the right balance, what do you think??

I did it, I put an order for a white Racemaster and I will sell my MHZ Fountain Dragon Lady, like new, untouched, undrilled. I prefer the Racemaster, those two deep vee' s have the same lenght, same V design.
