    Pursuit motor upgrade.

After two months of 5s use, oops i mean abuse, the stock motor has died. I'm going to replace it with a leopard 4074 2200KV and a t180 esc. Will this fit in the stock motor mount and i just buy a new clamp ring, or do i have to install new motor mounts?????

Is it a water cooled motor mount like thiseb0d674d.jpg

If so, yes that would be fine as I have seen it done many times before. I replaced my stock mount when I upgraded to a KEDA 4074 but really I could of kept the standard mount.

Or maybe a cheaper motor option would be the turnigy XK4074 2000kv. I've got one in my genesis and love it. I think it's pretty much the same as the leopard.

Yes its believed Turnigy has underestimated the wattage of power their Motors have, plus its been proven that they can run on 5s too with no problems.
I recommend a 2000 kv on 5s M445 prop (may be able to prop up!)

Yeah i'm going for the 2200kv so i can go back to 4s, easier to charge batteries. Motor mount is similar to one pictured, but if i go from a 36mm diameter motor to a 40mm the rear support won't fit, if i buy a support that does fit the 40mm will it still fit inside the rails?

Should do. My 40mm motor fitted straight in the 36mm mount no prob on my genesis, and I believe it's the same mount. I just got a 40mm mout so I could support it better.
