    Fake scoop mounting

I have a big Sniper hull and have no idea how to mount the fake scoops. Anyone have any pointers on how to do it? I dont want to just rig it up. Looking for reliability.

Hey Larry, Id have to get some pics, but the way I did mine (not sniper but another hull) is I figured where I would want them and drilled a 1/4" hole. then epoxied the scoop over that hole. Once dry, I dremeled the material away to the inside of the scoop. then I used cut strips of cloth and resined it in so it will be bullet proof. This was on a hatch. I would do it similar on a deck as well, youd just have to dremel out material before the scoop was attached and work from the underside. In that case, I would glass the cloth strips int the scoop first and let them dry, leaving un-saturated strips of cloth hanging. then attach the scoop, let that cure, then go in and resin the remaining cloth up to the underside of the deck.

    Hope that helps

Successfully confused. I got it. Good idea. These go on the hatch, so should be easier than on the hull itself. Thanks.
