I have the Genisis's cousin, a HK Apparition that has the same motor (1620KV) & hardware in it. I'm running two Turnigy Nano Tec 5000 45/90C (3S2P) with an Octura X442, and Turnigy 240 HV speed controler. Only have one run on it & still in the fine tuning stage, but I've already hit 54 MPH on my GPS. Pretty sure I can get mid 60s with the stock motor - it seems well made & looks like a Leopard motor. If it frys I'll put in a Leopard 2200KV in it, & work my way up.

Therefore, it's no load of bull. Just toss the stock plastic prop. JIM

The stock genesis motor is a 2075kv. And I don't think it will take 6s. 4s max.

I ran mine on 5s and it ran in the low fifties with a x642 until the motor failed three runs in.

If you have a look, when they claim those speeds, its NOT the stock ESC hahaha and you can barely see the motor
I hate to say it, but I think mine is / was doing about 71kmph on 4S packs, with the T180 and a 4074 2200KV, but ive changed to 5S and 2000KV, and single drive on that hull doing over 71kmph is pretty much out of control. In a Dam it might be allright, but out in the lake it wouldnt be safe

the stock setup is a 2 peice 4mm setup, the flex cable has a clamped square end that fits into another shaft peice that sits in the strut. seems to handle the 4S fine, but i changed mine to a 150 to 3/16 single peice, a lot smoother

Yup, the stock 4mm drive is a little weak. My 4mm prop shaft broke the first full throttle run on 6s...

jamespl is right - 6S is too much voltage for a 2200KV motor. My bad. 4S will get you 30,710 RPM, 5S will get you 38,387 RPM. I'd start with 4S and an Octura X637 & work up. JIM

I would seriosuly reconsidder using an entire 3/16 cable.
It would be a pain because you will most likely need to remove the strut and stuffing tube and then re do the entire thing.
Ive found that the collet onto the 150 size cable gives way a fair bit.
                      Ive just re cut mine.
you might not have issues if you use props smaller than the x642 though
