    RX signal through carbon fibre

I brought a Planet T5 2.4ghz rx/tx a while back which I planned to use in my first build, this build is a carbon genesis, however the antenna is one 1" long and I am worried about the signal through the hull as it won't be outside the hull?

Should I proceed but just be wary of range or just eBay it and get the GT3B?

Ive not used this personally but ive seen mention quite a number of times that in a carbon hull you need to get the antenna wire externaly mounted. Personally i wouldnt use one of these short antennas in a carbon hull.

If its any help I use the gt3b in my genesis and the antenna exits the hull by about 3 inches.

Thanks, I think I might use the T5 in another build and get the GT3B although never been a fan of the wheel/trigger and always had stick but I guess you get used to it

I thought that when I first got into boats but it's second nature using a wheel now. The gt3b is ace for the money.
