MAN O MAN! I just received a aquacraft hammer ep I picked up for 45.00 shipped. brand new still in box. I think this is gonna make an awesome recovery boat except for radio might need upgrade but, we'll give it a try. The boat is perfect size, short and nice and wide. Im not gonna touch it as far as re=fitting. just tie a thin string to it with tennis ball at the end. I was wondering if anyone with this boat could lemme know how sturdy it is. soo far it looks like I made a good choice.
scored a sweet deal

The hull is not the thickest there is a radio box in the rear. Ive heard its super hard to remove. It looks like it is epoxyed to a platform of wood about a 1/4" thick. The boat is good in choppy water its not the smoothest riding boat in chop but it does good in it. Other than that u got a great deal.Failure is the First step to SUCCESSComment

Ahh, yes a radio upgrade is a must. I found some open water and ran it today. This thing didnt know if it was coming or going stopping or starting. Im wondering if an futaba 2 channel AM radio would be ok for recovery? the boat itself is great, not a drop inside, after one pack motor was actually cold. I dont think I need to worry about the cooling system not working.Comment

Ya i wasnt to impressed with the radio transmitter but the reciever works great. in the future u might have to change ur speed controler. After maybe 20 runs it took a dump on me. Right now i use a Extra Quake no turn limit esc it works a little bit better. I mostly run it in my X cellerator with the hammers stock motor. It has enough torq to get the tires moving after a hard turn.Just a heads up o and I ran the boat in both salt and fresh. There was never any water in the radio box but I think the salt in the air maybe ate it up. Not sureFailure is the First step to SUCCESSComment
