Not a tunnel guy but all of the F/E tunnels I have the batteries a LOT further back plus the motor is hanging off the rear also. What is your CG?

I think your onto something............the cg needs to be in the 27-32% range.............or thereabouts.

Before going crazy trying a bunch of stuff can I make a simple suggestion. Is it possible you got a bad leopard 4082 1600 kv 3500 motor? Do you have a comparable motor you could swap into your boat and try? I've had bad motors that do the same thing you talking about.

        Just sayin :-)

Your may run on a 60 amp esc but a big Leo 4082 ain't gonna do sh*t with that esc
As for your hull I set mine on the table and set the strut level and flush to the table, just a starting point but it helped me doing that in my cat when I was having similar issues with a 1515 that should have Made her fly notice instant results

I have set the strut as high as it can go. Its centred with the bottom of the hull should i do some mods to get it even higher ?
Hopefully me new seaking 180amp will be here tomorrow. I'll check my cog.

just check my centre of gravity with my 5s (slightley heavier than my 6s) approx 35 %
Had an idea ! I have a rpm tester at work. If I hook that up to the flex shaft would it be ok to run the motor with no load just for a couple of seconds to check the rpms ?
Would that be accurate enough considering there is no load ????

Can you get it to 30% by moving batts or ESC or both?

thats with the batterey closest to the motor
If i run the gps at all times (it lives right at the back over the esc) that will get it 30% no worries 150 grams extra

guys tried the rpm tester and it spun up to 31200 rpm. That seems right on 5s
Failed to mention that the boat sounds like its gargling in the water with no rooster tail and alot of splashing.
I can just kick myself jes i'm am IDIOT. Is that cavitation ?

It is hard to tell from the pics but are u starving the prop with the rudder. It looks like the rudder is in front of the prop.
that would also go with what jay said about why your ESC is heating up

Yes I moved the rudder forward of the prop thinking it would fix the problem. Whats the ideal position for the rudder ?
About to go to the lake I'm going to test a 52mm 3 blade. Let you know hoes it goes.

I try to not disrupt the water flow in front of the prop.I have the rudder center behind the prop if it is a one piece setup or I put the rudder behind the right sponson close to the right side of the tunnel. I hope that makes sence.

If your rudder arm is over the prop that will affect your rooster tail

i think a 52mm 3 blade is a little big for that setup

                                Your 100% right.
I went to the lake and gave the boat about 1/4 throttle and flipped it. I could not get my kayak out there quick enough ! I left the lid off the water tight container (first time ever) and luckly the esc is complety sealed up.
But thanks guys for all your info its looking very promising.
Big Leo seems to have some serious power.
Drying out the receiver at the moment with help of CRC contact cleaner.
Hopefully all will be good and try again tomorrow. This time i will set the esc to soft start and see how we go.
Once again I really appreciate everyones advise !!!!!!!
