I currently have a twin custom watercooled 200amp Himodel escs. I have seen a lot of people using Birdie 200amp escs. How do these compare? Which is the more reliable esc?
Which is the better 200amp cheap esc?

I'm pretty sure they are both suppo knock offs, maybe with a few changes to get past the copyright issues.
with that said, Ben took one to a team of electrical engineers (the ones that designed his ESC's) and they told him they were pretty well made to break, if you get capacitors from him (fightercatracing.com) (the 35V ones) and put them on you might be able to squeeze a little more life out of them. -
i have used the birdies in a few of my hulls they work fine on the 2200kv leo motors with 4s I cant get them to work at 5 or 6s i don't like the soft start built into the esc but for 37 bucks they are a good cheap ESCComment

Buy a Swordfish 200 and you will not have to ever worry of blowing it up. Eventually all my Suppo esc's went pooof!
Stink is not fun to clean. They suited their purpose for me until Hobbywing & Hefei came out with much more reliable controllers.
What is your time worth? The stink sludge is also toxic.
If you can afford a Castle esc and warranties make you warm & fuzzy, they are good, otherwise spend a little more and get more fun time.Nortavlag Bulc
