Aeromarine problem no more


Mid June2011 bought SC40.
Arrived with cowl covered in gel blemishes...
Managed to contact Remy @ Aeromarine .
Apologizes and says a result of new staff error.
Sent a replacement... free of charge
Confusion over hull [ who else knows AM code for shadow sport40 hydro is SC40 ?. ]
So, I offer to buy shadow sport hull if he swaps out cowl for sprint cat 40 cowl

No email for weeks..

Voila' ... get email saying all is in transit, will send invoice when it arrives. !
He sends tracking which confirms it's days away.

He arranged a good deal on OS shipping as well.

Final package price is Shhhh, but I assure you Aeromarine will get more sales from here.


Im a happy little vegemite ( local term for Aussie kid with big grin ) !

Couple of years ago I emailed Aeromarine several times to buy a hull and never got a reply from them. I gave us and went elsewhere...... Has things changed?

Well I live like 10 mins down the road and I know he was having trouble with Comcast that might why u was having some trouble hope this helps

Remy has never been one to embrace e-communications. He is notorious for not responding to e-mails in a timely manner. On the other hand he is extremely helpful when you get him on the phone. I never bother sending e-mails, I just call. But then I'm just one time zone away....

Finally lodged a telecommunications fault and voila' Remy emails and says his lines are faulty.
go figure !
His emails are great.. prompt and articulate.

Note to all OS ppl.. his phone has issues .. send email.. !


Anyway.
The promised box of hull + cowls has arrived all shipshape ( pun intended )
Funds and appreciation sent.

Thanks for the "detective" work, Doc. Been trying for a week to get ahold of Remy with the same "message". Will e-mail.

Wayne I am thinking of doing the SC40 build also , any info on whats a good motor this build would be welcome , I have 3 LMT 2280's doing nothing and am wondering if that would be just to much motor . Also if you have started your build could you post some pics

stingers // to bottom, centerline 10mm above bottom
CG 13-14" from rear ( depends on water.. rough=14)

I run 2 x 6S1P50C5800 SF240HV 1518/1800 to outwards CR x447 cupped.
3min wot run time @~70mph returns ~3.7v/cell

I mounted stingers, fitted flex18", and placed motors where flex ended.
Motors have thrust roller bearings from ose.
airdam 1/2 high/wide.. full width tunnel approx 3" inset from leading edge.

Let me add that Remy went all out to provide assistance over the sad cowl dilemma .
Anomalies do slip through, and Im appreciative Aeromarine is one company who stands by the customer and provides support.

Remy has been a great help to me many times! His customer service is exceptionally good, and is always professional about it. For myself I actually found emailing is the best way to get in touch with remy. Either way aeromarine is and always will be one of our top businesses along with OSE, kintec racing, Randy Naylor at BBY and Jeff Wolt. Thanks to all of their great services that makes this hobby possible we are lucky to have these few stand up guys / companies.
