Question about Spektrums' DX3S & recievers

Wanting to be able to turn some nav. lights on/off with the aux. switch on the tx. When I plug them into the aux. channel on the rx, +/-, the lights come on,
and stay on with full power, but no control. When I plug them in, +/signal I can turn them on, and off with the tx, but the power seems to be cut in half.
Is there some adjustment I must make on the tx aux. channel? Or must I buy a separate switch? http://www.dimensionengineering.com/PicoSwitch.htm
Also, can a receiver battery pack be plugged into the bind channel?

    Which RX are you using??

I'm not sure on the DX3S if there is a programming option for the 3rd channel switch, but I believe there is. I'll see if I can dig out mine and find it. You should be able to assign the funtion of the switch. As for the RX pack... Yes, you should be able to connect it to the bnd slot... I'm assuming you must be using the MR3000 RX?? Let me know.

Be careful with the newer batches of MR3000's. Myself and a friend have had a couple go bad from getting wet. They are advertised as waterproof, but the newer models apparently stop when getting wet. My 2 older ones are great with no problems at all.

CorrosionX always worked well on mine. All my receivers get the treatment.

Darin, you are just the person I was hoping would respond, your ears must have been burning. Bought a MR3000 awhile back just in case I buy, or reinforce a hull with CF. But I have been using a SR300 sport, and primarily the SR3300 telemetry
on the water for years, without a glitch. BTW, I would pay dearly for a MR3000 *WITH* telemetry. Then again, perhaps I am the only one who likes being able to monitor my boats RX battery voltage, temperature, and RPM on the fly.

Yep. I just gave all my electronics a refresh with Corrosion X. Works great.
