I have CC1520 1y 1600kv motor, What size hull would good.

    Hi,
    Need some help.
I have cc1520 1y 1600kv motor and know nothing about them.
Would a cc 1520 1y 1600kv motor be good for sport running ?
What size hull can it push efficiently and on what cells ?

    Thanks for any information.

The 1520 is a stout motor, it can really move out a 40" or less on 6s.............
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I wouldnt consider them "Amp hogs", they can put out some serious wattage........3000+ on 6s

8s is going to put you up over 47000 rpm, which the motor will take, but it wont last that long. It would also require a more powerful esc. 5s or 6s is the right setup. You going to be up around 35K rpm with 6s so you don't want too big a boat. I bet it be pretty awesome in a 36" Sprintcat from Aeromarine or a 35" DF from OSE.

Runs great on 6s in a DF33 or a Cyberstorm.

                  Ok,
Thanks for all the info on the motor guys.
I may try it in my 36"Shockwave mod on 4s2p first and than 6s and if the hull likes it.
I do not have any 6s packs at this time, But I do have some 3s 4500mah packs to try 6s that way.
I need to get a good universal motor mount for easy in and out.
