And another: I can't find a 1/4" sharpened and balanced x457/3 prop. Do you know where I could get one?

457's are 3/16" props as most used on this size motors will be. You can run a 1/4" shaft stepped downed to 3/16 at the drive dog.

Yeah I know now..... I learned that the hard way after many a search. Its all good. Got a step-down shaft on the way. Seems like they would make smaller props than they do for 1/4" seeing how popular big FE are now.

if you're talking to make a wake he still has it, a long procedure of cleaning thoroughly kept it running fine.

I read on his build thread that the bottom with all the electronics etc. went down to the bottom of the pond. But he got a diver to find it for him. He can tell you more about that. Check out his 51" cobra build thread. All of that stuff is in there.

                      51" hull?

Do it up hard core! Here is my 54" Fountain I built early this year. The thing is a beast, over 30 pounds RTR and hits 60+ MPH before I even hit max throttle. After weeks of dialing it in 61 was about the fastest I could get before it became air born. Fun as hell to run though. Turns heads like crazy.

It is a little scary! Here is a quick clip of it running. There are a few other videos of it on you tube but they all suck because for some reason everyone that I ask to film it wants to try and zoom in and that only creates bumpy out of focus out of frame footage. This is the only one that came out half way decent.

Zooms are indeed awful. I've worked in the Television industry for about 11 years now. Thats the first rule of shooting something - you don't use any zooms while shooting something. I wish we could disable the zoom feature altogether on camcorders. Its just too tempting to most people.

If you are referring to my blue GT mono, the whole top ripped off and the bottom with all the valuable stuff laid on the bottom of the lake for a week. I got a diver to go out and recover it all for 100 bucks. Dried the motor out and used all the hardware/driveline for the 47" mono in my signature. I made two 2s batts out of the one 5s that was still good................after a week underwater!
