    Anyone use this ESC????

I saw an esc on Fullers fast electrics page and I am interested to see if anyone has used it. It is the fastel1 ESC. I am assuming that Ray had this OEM'd for himself. It says 100amps and it's only 80.00???? I would like to use it with an ammo or feigao XL. What do you think?

Im sure it would work just fine however for the money and EASE I would go this route. Mr. Fuller has become difficult to deal with at times. He doesnt always have the stock he shows and usually wants more money than he first says. like I said I would go this route for a 100A allready cooled esc.

ok so I think I will run this ESC, an ammo 2300, two 7.4 5000 lipos and an x642. What do you think?? Will this set up constantly blow over a bj26? How about this on a TS2???I wanted to run my bj26 ESC and motor in the TS2 and liven up the bj 26 with this set up. I want these boats to be somewhat reliable....Also....Is 150F too hot for NiMH batteries during discharge???? Muchas Gracias

consider that your measured temp is only the surface temp, not a core temp. I've seen batts come out of a boat at 260F and watched as the temp finnally topped out at over 300F. so yes unless you absolutely need everthing the cells can offer(and are willing to buy new cells once a week) 150F is TOO HOT! you're gonna have to reduce the amp load or your runtime(or both) to keep the temps down.

yeah I figured 150F was too hot for batteries. I am running the stock motor and esc in a bj26 and orion 6 cell 3900's. I have a grimracer 42x55 prop. The outdrive is set correctly and the shaft is lubricated and not binding anywhere. What do you think????

two possibilities(min) 1) too much prop 2)running to long and dumping the cells.
how many mah does it take to recharge the batt packs?

I always bring it in early. I am not sure about my mah but I charge my packs at 2 amps and it usually takes about 1hour and 45 minutes. (3900's) I ran the stock prop and i got 140f on the batteries. The esc and motor were both cool to the touch on both props. I am planning on putiing this exact set up in the TS2. Do you think it will have a different outcome?

bring the boat in about 30-60 seconds sooner, you're cells are dumping.

ok that makes it easy. What does it actually do when you dump your cells.

in the last 800(or so) mah the cell voltage takes a nosedive and cell temps start to sky rocket(depending of course on how many amps your boat/load is pulling).
