    Question about a Hull

    Hi everyone,
Ive got my genesis running about as fast as I want, finally finished putting my Persuit together, but i am starting to think id like somthing even bigger....
I really like the Venom P1 26CC Gas Hull, but i was wondering if there was anyone else who made the hull apart from Venom, or a similar looking hull.
I was thinking about buying a cheap one that looks similar from Ali Express, gutting it and starting it off as an electric, affter reglassing the hull ofcourse hahaa.

one of my friends has the king of shaves 26cc...... :S oh venom... what a waste of time and money hahaha

I bought a new Venom gas Segad 56" X 14 3/4" hull off Ebay cheap & converted it to FE. In the pic's, I was running a Leopard 5693 73KV 12S2P setup and hit 67.7MPH on my GPS. My setup at the Legg Lake SAWs was a Leopard 5692 1090KV, 8S2P, Octura X462 prop, and Hydra ICE 200HV. It hit 70+MPH thru the lights. Changed to a 5692 1340, but smoked the Castle's caps. With any luck it should hit high 80s with the right prop. Watch out Boyd.

The big Segad is a good SAW boat, but with a 3.79 length/widit ratio it rolls easy & dosen't like to turn at high speed. Plus, the Segad hull is weak along the seams & is easy to split apart.

I opted for a 44" X 16 1/2" Aeromarine AvengerPro. There's plenty of room for two 5692s, the hull is seamless unlike most Chinese boats, is American made and very strong. With twin 5692 1340KV and 8S2P setup I think I can hit high 90s for SAW, and with twin 5692 1090KV motors it should make a great unlimited oval racer. With a 2.67 length/width ratio it won't roll easily and should corner great. If you want a bigger cat, check out Steven Vaccaro's thread at "How to power this cat?" JIM
