      Hi Norcal ,

Bought mine from the same supplier , who offers them for sale in various sizes & also available in carbon fibre . The unit i have on the back of my current project fell off my 6foot fridge onto a cement floor while being on the back of my other tunnel boat weighing 3kg , without much damage , though the x642 was F@#$ !!! . So i can vouch for their durability ....

The guy that manufactures them is in Bang Kok Thailand , name is Narade , & can be found on rcuniverse.com with profile name " zapco " . Where he races one of his unit with a 6s set up ....

All the best in F/E R/C Boating ,

        Hi Brad

        Nice leg.

Does it use a teflon liner inside? Is it a two piece leg like the K&B that are screwed together or just one piece?

        Thanks

        JC

          Hi JC ,

the " Speed Drive " unit has no teflon liner , you just have to grease it before use . The cable is soldered or some other strong process to the drive dog . Although these units are .150 , due to their construction , i can see how Narade states they are raced in bang Kok with 7s 56 + can set ups with similar hulls such as my current tunnel project . Recently i bought a 3.5 Hyper Drive off this site , & although i can see the quailty in the material , i can see why they are rated for lighter power set ups , such as 4S ....

          All the best JC ,

            Hi Guy's ,

The manufacturer informs me that all his Lower Leg are fitted & sold with a teflon liner , including the unit i was sold . It has been about 18 months since i bought my unit off Narade so iv'e forgotten about the fact that it did come one with fitted . So Apoligies to Narade for my forgetfulness .....

The units for the money are a great buy , i feel when you consider there race set - ups in Bang Kok ....
