You can do it on servo reverse on the menu. Press the large enter button then scrol throught the menu to rev. Press the menu button again and choose either channel 1 or 2 then press. Once you have the channel you Wang to reverse press the end button, norm should start flashing. Use the enter button turning it until it shows rev then press the menu button and your done. Press the back button to return to the main menu. Hope that helps

Steering you should be able to do on the radio throttle usually on the motor wiring

I think it is the radio, I have to push the finger triger forward to get the motor to turn and it is turning the right direction.

You need to calibrate it to your esc.

Switch any two motor wires to correct direction of motor rotation. Colors do not mean anything.

what brand of esc do you have?
I have a seaking 180 amp and it has the three pins on it to plug in a jumper plug to go to the programing card.
it sounds like you need to program your controller for forward and reverse use not just forward only?
if you only get motor rotation when you move the trigger forward and nothing when moved the trigger towards the rear.
it would mean to me that yoiu have programmed for forward only in the ESC set up menu.
The easy way to determin this is to go through the ESC set up agian and check the setting with either a programing card or by counting the beeps or light flashes and beeps on your ESC.

The OP's motor is turning the correct direction, the problem is in the Transmitter programming. Several club members have had major problems changing some of the items on their FS menus, don't know if it was operator error or a bad transmitter. OTOH some folks love them and have no issues.
