I have a titan 29 with motor, elec, and hardware from an SV 27. It runs in the low 30 s mph. I would like a little more speed. I'm using nimh now but want to switch to lipos, what should I get, do I need a new esc. Any other suggestions would be very helpful.

I run a Titan 29 with CC 125A esc, Feigao 9xl, and m445 prop... She will do 44-47mph depending on conditions...
I would first make the switch to lipos, then if you are still not satisfied with the speed, buy a X-Power 100A esc and 9-10XL from OSE!!! Then your Titan will be a notch above any stock SV27!!
I bought it here on the OSE swapshop, hull and hardware only.... I really like the way it handles rough water...

Or................. A Neu 1515 1Y on 4s with a Hydra 240 and a 640 will push that hull to it's limits.
A 8XL will give you similar performance. You can get the job done with a B-125 but it won't much room for error.
Good lookin Titan txboatpilot

I am going to order the 9xl and esc from OSE, but I am still unsure of what to get for lipos. The neu 4s2p packs are expensive. I think 2-2s packs would be ok for me, but which ones?Rico 29, Sprintcat 34, Insane FE 30 Hydro, 43'' Aeromarine ConquestComment

Sounds like you need some Elites 4800's... Good sport packs and some people are racing with them!

I would just get 2/ 4S1P packs, then you dont have to buy more later! JMo

I was thinking either of those 2 esc's also for my build soon using the same motor/batt setups in a Cat.
And on the 4s1p packs, you should be able to run them individually, or wire them in parallel to give double the runtime. (should be correct)My prop hasn't been wet in a while.Comment
