    What is BEC ??

I'm still new to all this crap,

What is BEC when talking about ESC's?
I'm in the market for a bigger ESC to go with my motor (leopard 4075 2150kv, in my Motley Crew)
I want to buy the right one but I keep seeing "w/BEC or w/o-BEC" and I just don't know

    need some info

    P.S. who should I look at for a 180 or 200A esc??

    thanks for the help

    Battery Eliminator Circuit

without one you will need a rx battery pack or a UBEC which plugs into your battery powere to power you RX (receiver)

I dissable the BEC a lot ond run a UBEC to keep the controller a little cooler and less stressed. generally anything over 4S I disconnect it.

That is funny. The turd needs to search this site for information on FE boats.

The funniest thing happened Mr. Scottsman!!
When I typed in "BEC" in the search box (which is located in the upper right side of the page) it came back with "sorry no matches"
Then I typed in "what is a BEC", low and behold same thing. So I tried "BEC and ESC", oddly enough same result. So i thought, how about "BEC and Electric boats" This one gave me bunch of threads but no good info on my basic question.
What to do??? After not seeing any Threads with the two seconds worth of information I needed in the "Anything Electric section" and not wanting to spend a bunch of time looking in each thread hoping to find my answer.... I decided to come here, to the "QUESTION AND ANSWER" section of this web-site.

Now you tell me Mr. scottsman from B.C. am I in the wrong place? Or do you have some suggestions on where I should have researched my question before I posted it up?
Scroll your little pointer over to the search box and give it a shot.

            Have a good one..

P.S. tiqueman thanks you sir, for the info. I appreciate it.

I had the same issue today. I was attempting to search information about a eco and it keep coming up as no results. Weird. That has happened to me a few times since the new forum has come online. Maybe a hiccup of some sort. Not sure.

Do not worry turd, all questions you ask will be answered on this forum and yes, I was once a newbie and now an old fart and still learning, so be gentle with your responses, as I have a wicked sense of humour
