Good mornin everyone, Cansomeone tell me what gps is good for onboard and also how is the best way to do a amp check. I have a nice watt/amp meter but not sure how im going to hold and check it at the same time?
If you are in the market for a new ESC you can get both an ESC and a data logger in one. The Castle ICE controllers feature logging, and the HydraICE 240 is a stout ESC. I used it in my recent SAW record attempts pulling over 300 amps for almost 40 passes without a hickup. I was able to download the amp draw, rpm, voltage, ripple current, etc. onto my laptop at the lake. This helped me a lot in optimizing my setup.
I use an older model Garmin Geko 101 GPS, bought it used off eBay for $70 several years ago. There is one on eBay right now for $25......
