1/4 scale kneeler outboard hydro power?

Boats are 1/4 scale, about 34-35" outboard hydros.
The videos I've watched of Jerry Dunlap running the boat he designed are powered by a stock OS aircooled 3.5 with an x440 prop.
Would a UL-1 motor on 4s be a good substitute? I'm thinking it would be near ideal based on the tunnel hulls running spec motors instead of stock nitro engines.
Contemplating building one but only if it would be an acceptable runner on 4s and a spec motor.
I'm running more prop than an x440 on my VS-1.
Seen video of a 41" version running 6s......
    Thanks for the help
    Cheers
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Jerry Dunlap has a number of videos of his nitro powered one on youtube, they look wild when the get the nose lifted and do the tail riding thing, CG is about 50% of the afterplane length.

Worth giving it a shot I guess.
I was thinking about trying out a UL-1 motor in a modern 1/10 scale I have planned to see how it does.
Figure I should get a data logger just to make sure things are staying within specs.
Was recommended to try a 1800 mtor by seasoned racer.

I am also going to try out one of Bens Outrunners and see how it does or a tenshock motor!

Ya I'm planning a blue can AQ motor or a BJ motor in a 1/10 miss wahoo I didn't get finished for last season, It's already back on the bench and has top priority for finishing. The hull is done, need to stick the mahogany on it and do a cowl etc.
A few weeks ago I was running an x645 with a Geico motor in a 1/12 pay n pak.
Those Kneelers are moving pretty well with an x440 with the nitro motor.
Ran out of props to try for my VS-1, I kept going bigger, the boat kept running better and better and the temps were still cold.
The kneeler might not happen kind of depends on if I can find some solid info, with the possible exception of my 1/10 hydro I have no real interest in anything other than limited or spec setups.

Been working on my vintage past few days had to make some modifications added some ride pads as they were flat before and will be testing hopefully soon.
Have been running the SV motor but also will have a proboat motor soon to play with.
Also need to test out the scorpion 3026 - 1210 as this is motor of choice for Classic Thunder and will need to work a new prop for this.

Should be fun to build the modern hull and be interesting to see what works best as one of the clubs I am planning to run with motor is open so have some testing to do there.

Also working on a Elam got from someone and will most likely be running the UL motor in this.
