    H&M Spyder Triple Wing Hydro SETUP

    What would be the best hardware and motor prop ESC setup for a H&M SPyder Triple Wing Hydro.
    I have never done a ELectric RC Hydro.

    Just got my Spyder Triple Wing Hydro and it sure looks nice.
    Which motor would be best in this and what class would it be legal to race in?

      hello,

      I have this hull, and I love it!! It's very funny to run with it.

      I don't pratice race but just for fun, my set up : neu 1509 2.5D on 4S 5000 and seaking 120.
      It works great with X438 X440 and tried last Week-end, with V940/3, speed was 95km/h 58mph.

      With a leopard 3660 2500 /2600kv would be a good choice I think.

        This is a really cool hull. Not legal for racing with all the aero bits, but they run really well.

        A Neu 1515 1Y 4s setup would surely run 55+ and be very durable for you. The above setup is a 'hotter' setup but look good to. The advantage of the larger motor is more mass, better heat dissipation, and more prop options with the greater torque. I would think octura's M series of prop would match up well. I ran the 1515 1Y in my 24" viper with a M440 for sport running and it was totally bulletproof. Never got anything hot and I could run 1P with 5000s. I could prop up to an M645 before I ran out of boat :)

        Oh ... and a 200a or so ESC ... I like a large measure of safety though. You could probably get away with a smaller esc. I used a castle 240 in my setup.

          I am trying to install the strut, how far should the bottom of the strut be above the bottom of the rear sponsons?
          How far did you mount the rudder to the right if center line of the strut?

            Where did you mount the strut in relation to the bottom of the rear sponsons? Also, how far is the rudder to the rigth of center line of the hull?
