Motor Mount Help

I am looking for advice on what to do, my motor wires exit from the side not the back and therefore the tail ring wont fit, whats everyones opinions on what to do? I was thinking of cutting the tail ring but this will obviously mean it will only support the rear of the can and wont tighten up on it?

If it were me, I'd get the shorter jacket

even with the shorter jacket the tail ring wont fit unless i drill some new mounting point

which leopard motor is that? 4074 or 4082?

It HAS to be the wrong jacket because the mount fits the motor...

Look close they are different mounts, the side plates in the OP's mount are longer, also wrong jacket for the shorter mount.
That mount is for either a longer can motor or a leopard "boat" motor with the leads out of the "endbell" instead of the side.
Wrong mount for that style motor, wrong cooler if you have the right mount.

Its a 4082, the mount is one of Fightercats and Ben said it would fit with the 68mm jacket and theres even a picture on his website, I think a shorter mount and shorter water jacket would solve the problem, the tail ring on this mount is 42mm so even if it did fit i would have to "pack out" the ring to get it to grip the can.
