Do Not Buy This boat Exceed racing Shark

i picked this up for my son. yhst-14197398381157_2182_32502040[1].gif i noticed cracks around the motor mount so i JB welded it.
after about 30 dollars in JB weld It sunk i got it as a kids toy so i wasn't expecting much. but it cost me a good 2s oh well looking for a good kids boat for a 9 year old that is cheap and floats.

Oh the funny part was watching me attempt to bring it back to shore with a zigzag while it sunk under it

I came SOOO close to buying a Exceed boat. They look sharp, but I was scared "looks" was all I was gonna buy. Just jumping into boats from cars and trucks. Decieded on a Thunder Tiger Outlaw JR Brushless RTR. $200 shipped from tower hobbies and $23 Gens Ace 3s from Hobbypartz. I hope it will work out. Ordered a Grim Racer metal prop aswell. LHS guy said it would be noticable over the plastic stock one. Good Luck Buddy! Evan though some of those "budget RC's" look cool, just STAY AWAY! sTICK WITH TRUSTED BRANDS.

First thing you ever do before running a new boat is a bathtub float test and install floatation , sorry about your bad luck

Most of the Chinese boats don't have floatation a 2 dollar pool noodle or some foam packing material is an easy fix

yep boat seemed too small for all of the weight. It had foam but it was a self-righting hull with lead weights not much room for foam.
the hull was cracking everywhere so i knew it was a matter of time. too bad i didn't get a video. oh well only lost about 200 bucks and it kept him busy while i ran my DF.... expensive baby sitter

my son got about 8 runs out of it before it sunk. what is funny is he kept telling me it was stoping and then it was ok i thought it was him. must have been water getting in the receiver.
