can anyone tell me if the gears in the lower unit of the ep-1 outboard can handle a 540 size brushless motor??if so,2000kv on 3 cells? thanks......john

I ran one on a 2030 UL-1 motor for about 4 runs , then the gears shredded....to bad, it looked and handled great.

Might get a few more runs on 3S, but I would thingk eventually they would also fail.
