The Maritimo is a very nice hull, go for 5S per motor and 1800/1900kV motors. You can run with 4S and 2200kV motors
I prefer 2x5S setup, less amps. You will choose props later run Graupner K first. Here is the setup I run in my 40" cat

                  Lots of great setups above.

I have a pretty simple twin setup. I have a 32" HoR Cat. Boat was twisted as heck, but I redid the bottom on it with new angled ride pads.

I run twin SV27 systems in it. It isn't meant to be a world beater, but its idiot proof and allows me to use pretty standard counter rotating props. It'll run at best 61.3mph depending on the water with twin x447 (detongued). Motors get a titch warm over longer runs with that setup. It can run all day with x442s. I have had it for the last couple years and its still running strong.

The escs are sorta like on/off switches so I probably wouldn't recommend that, but you probably wont have too many issues getting into the high 60s with decent 2200Kv motors and not break the bank. Maybe even a couple of AMMOs from OSE and a Swordfish ESC?

                    Hi sigelitest,

It was my Maritimo that broke the NAMBA S and T Offshore records at the recent LA SAWS event.

Like others say, and IMHO the initial setup of any boat is critical, and only after you correctly achieve that will props become a critical factor (and I do mean critical). Bottom line; it’s a beautiful orchestration of all the variables....something we all strive to achieve and only a few master…which I might add “Fluid” has done.

Here’s a pic that “Fluid” took of my 94mph record breaking run at Legg Lake California….as well as a pic of my Cats.

Check this thread out, if you haven’t already done so, has good info on the LA SAWS event: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...t-At-L.A.-SAWS

Best of luck with your Maritimo build.
