    R2 hobbies 36" cat hull

    I Know everyone said they are junk but wow it only lasted about 10 seconds.. thinking of just stepping it up to a HPR now
    it had 2 leppord 4074 2y's spinning 2 race prepped 442 cr with 2 hydra ice 240's on 5S.. ouch LMFAO gps'd at 82mph before it caught a sponson

    Well, were you really expecting it to last at that speed for the price you paid?

    Even a HPR would be at or darn near it's limits at 82mph!! In a crash that is.

    At least you put foam in it. Lots of carbon Kevlar needed I suppose??

    I have a yellow one here but, I don;t plan to power it the heavy. Just a pair of cheap outrunners is fine.

    The DF Explorer on the other hand, I'll put a bit more power in that.

    Hey, at least we kow the hull is capable of reaching that speed, just not able to handle a crash at that speed!

      nope no foam in it..lol and no I really didnt think it would last but wanted to see how fast I could get it.. I did lots of work blueprinting the bottom so I think it helped..lol

        Not much would survive a crash at those speeds.

            A few guys in our group run them. Seen some run over 50s with no problem. I agree that the problem is not the hull, but the crash at that speed that it wont handle. Other than that, they run great......for the money.
