Trying to get an opinion on what hull length would be best for the 4074 leopard 2200kv motor and 200 swordfish esc.? Running 4s2p
what size delta force hull?

I wouldnt try putting it in the 29", probably would be pressed for room. I squeezed one into a 25" clone hull, never run it though.
Im building a 33" Pursuit, which is a kinda clone. Thats got a 4074 in it.
So I would say the 33" versions. Maybe the 35" also... Nothing larger.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP) -
Leopard 4074 2200kv and a seaking 180. Prop was a m645 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az0z...e_gdata_player
With that being said the motor is at its limit. I am thinking about changing to a 4082 2200 or something in the 4074 size but lower kv. The motor u have can work in a 33" hull, but would be better in a df29 like rummy mentioned. If you would go with a 4074 size, I would recommend a lower kv in the df33 hulls. jmho

I normally would not recommend using that much power in such a small hull, but after seeing several DF26 boats run so well I'd have to deviate. For some reason, the small hull handles power better than the 29. I watched one make repeated passes in the high 70s in LA last month. One club member has a 1515/1Y in his and it handles rough water far better than I would have imagined...a very versatile hull.
The Leopard 4072 is about equivalent to the Neu 1515, slightly less power actually and it runs hotter. Switching them back and forth in the same boat/setup demonstrates which runs better.

I'd agree with Jay, I've seen DF26s (and the clones) handle far better than I would expect (I'm looking at you JWT!). However, in this case I would go for the Cyber Storm. A great hull for that power source.Comment
