    2732kv on 4s???

I am finishing my twin Genesis and wanted to make sure that I don't burn up anything! The is my first build. I have two 2732kv motors, two 120a esc and two turnigy 40c 4s 5000ma batts. Do you see any problems with this setup? I also have counter rotating 37mm props. I have it balanced at 33% COG. I did the math and the max rpm's comes out to almost 40000. Does this all sound good? Thanks jason

Your loaded rpm will be closer to 36,000, don't expect a lot of run time if you use the throttle a lot. With decent cells (you didn't say what quality) that's a ~50 mph setup. Also you neglected to mention the motors, Kv means little by itself. 37mm props are pretty small for a 40" boat, but hopefully safe. Don't run it for more than one minute, then bring it in to check temps. Good luck.

The batteries are Turnigy and the motors are 36x60. I am not sure what brand the motors are. The esc are Suppos. I will follow your advise on the run times and checking temps. Thanks

Well I removed the suppo ESC and am now installing two T180's!!!! I ran the boat with 37mm props and everything was about 80-90 degrees. Do you think I would be pushing it to buy some 642 props from fightercat? The boat ran very well on its first outing but I ended up fliping it from haveing to much steering EPA. The boat seemed to be in the lower 40's but would launch out of the hole hard!!! Here is a link to the maiden voyage...

Looks great! Love the sound too................being a twin i dont think 4s is too much for those motors................wouldnt go any higher though. You may consider trying x442's...........check temps after 1 minute, you have plenty of ESC.

I recommended 42mm's cuz they come in counter-rotation...................you are running counter rotating props.......right?
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Yep, I'm running counter rotating props. I will get a set of 442s and check temps like you said. Thanks for the info.
