Esc troubles. Forward works as long as long as don't hit reverse

Using brand new Seaking 180 esc and leopard motor and spectrum stock radio and receiver that came on impulse 31.

Programmed esc using card to forward and reverse.

First runs throttle works so long as you don't try reverse. As soon as hit reverse throttle won't work until powering down esc and restarting.

Never had this happen. Have the exact setup in another boat no problems.

Ideas? I was thinking just program reverse off and see if it goes away.

it could be the forward/ reverse/ brake setting.
the first time you hit reverse it turns on the brake, if you hit it again it switches into reverse. I don't know if it works the other way(if you are in reverse mode you have to hit fwd twice)
if it's not that.. no idea

get that reverse locked out of there. especially if you use a flex shaft set up.
do you really want the possibility of un-winding a flex shaft IN the boat?
I HAVE seen this happen and it is NOT a pretty sight to behold.
