        Mine ran better at ~32% measured from the transoms, not the rudder mounting surface. A lot depends on the weight of the boat (twins, big motor) and its speed. Build it so you can move the packs fore and aft to shift the CG.

          So what kind of extremes are we talking in percentage? + or - how many percent is a general rule? 30-34% 32 being the average. or can it be more? And you mention weight. If the boat weighs more do you want to move the cg back or forth?
